Bill Kugelberg
Having worked in the corporate communications industry for more than 20 years, Bill’s career has focused on creating and supporting effective strategic business communications.
During this time, Bill has provided direct communication consulting, support and strategic guidance to various Fortune 500 companies, in addition to many small to medium-sized businesses. Partnering with senior-level officers, Bill has created and implemented impactful communication projects, including employee and customer communication plan development, culture change objectives and business-focused communication objectives.
In the spirit of promoting trust, teamwork and ownership, he has designed and implemented strategic communication plans for executive, senior and line management, identifying significant operating objectives and measurement methods.Focused on both internal and external audiences, Bill has worked alongside senior executives and those “in the trenches” from many extremely successful organizations, including McDonald’s Corporation, Exelon Corporation, REI, Caterpillar and Sears, Roebuck & Company.
In addition to strategic communication competencies, Bill is an award-winning writer, editor and layout and design specialist. He has extensive experience in creating focused business presentations, company literature and corporate communication through many other vehicles, including electronic and print mediums.
A five-year Navy veteran, Bill served as a journalist on board the USS Abraham Lincoln, one of the world’s largest aircraft carriers. While in the Navy, he served during the Persian Gulf War, working in and leading the ship’s Public Affairs Office. His responsibilities included broadcast and print journalism, internal and external communication, and media and public relations.
Currently, Bill serves as the co-founder of The Myriad Consulting Group – a strategic corporate communications consulting firm specializing in maximizing the three most important assets of every organization – the customer, the employee and the business. Current clients include McDonald’s, Exelon Nuclear, Exelon Energy Delivery, ComEd and Fonterra. He also is a diversity/inclusion facilitator with Chicago-based The Kaleidoscope Group, having worked with many organizations, including Nationwide Insurance, Sara Lee, The Wharton School of Business, Emmis Communications, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and the U.S. Forestry Service.
